Cassin Ridge of Denali

A team of climbers getting ready for their climb of the Cassin Ridge of DenaliIn the summer of 2022, SCMA member Kelvin Nguyen and his partners successfully summitted Denali via the Cassin Ridge. Kelvin is the winner of this year’s SCMA Founders Award prize, which supports SCMA members seeking to undertake a self-supported, locally-organized, non-commercial, non-guided objective. In exchange for the modest cash prize, winners present their trip to the club and community.

Tuesday, September 20th, 7:30 p.m. at The Stronghold Climbing Gym, Kelvin will share stories, photos, and original art from the expedition. The presentation is free to attend and refreshments will be provided.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear about the team’s successful summit and ask question of this full-time working dad and husband about the planning, training, and of course the climb.
