Ice Climbing with Kurt Wedberg

Widow's Tears, Yosemite ValleyTuesday, March 10, 2015 at the SCMA General Meeting, Kurt Wedberg, our featured speaker, will give a show that just may inspire you to go ice climbing. The show will feature photos and stories of ice climbing in Yosemite, Lee Vining Canyon, and other great locations.

Kurt, mountain guide and owner of Sierra Mountaineering International (SMI), has been a professional guide since 1986. Kurt has completed climbs of the Seven Summits. He has climbed the highest of the seven, Mt. Everest, three times by two different routes. When he isn’t traveling the globe to climb, Kurt is at home in Bishop, CA

The meeting will be held at the auditorium of the Griffith Park Ranger Headquarters in Griffith Park, 4730 Crystal Springs Drive, Los Angeles. The meeting begins at 7:30 PM with the presentation after some brief general club business. There is no cost to attend and members as well as non-members are always welcome to come and see what the SCMA is all about.
